About

Jane Ozkowski Author PhotoWhen I was in my first year of Creative Writing at York University, my professor asked everyone why they were there. A lot of people said it was because they wanted to be a teacher and they liked writing. A few said they wanted to write a book someday. Surprisingly, I was the only one who said I eventually wanted to be universally recognized as the best writer who ever lived.

The goal of complete domination in all forms of literature is still in the back of my mind, however, right now I’m trying to focus on writing good stories that people like and feel a connection with.

My work has appeared in VICE, The National Post, Maisonneuve, on The Walrus Blog, and in a variety of other publications. My novel, Watching Traffic, was published by Groundwood Books in 2016.

When I’m not writing, I can be found traveling in my school-bus-turned-tiny-home or renovating campers with my wife. You can find out more about these projects here.
